Meet the Designers

A former character animator with over 20 years experience working on films including Frozen, Zootopia, Moana, Hotel Transylvania, and more. Recently, I decided it could be fun to combine my experiences in CGI and my interest in 3D Printing to create fun and appealing designs for people to print at home. I hope you enjoy them!

Hi, my name is Dan Sopala. I am a 3D artist that has previously been working in the gaming industry for over 15 years.  I felt it was a time for a change, so I set out creating apps for iOS and Android. At the same time I started an animated Youtube channel for toddlers and my subscription base quickly grew to 5.5 million.

After purchasing my first 3D printer I found a new passion... 3D Flexi's. By creating 3D models, I utilize all the skills I have acquired over the years. I feel that I get to be an artist and an engineer at the same time, and I love it.

I'm a full-time mom, wife, veteran, and 3D designer! My addiction is articulating creatures and I love pushing the boundaries and experimenting with new designs and engineering! ​I'm Javi Rodriguez, mostly known as McGybeer. But if you are here I bet you already know that 😜. I'm an Electronic Engineer, and also an art enthusiast. While working on electronics R&D I discovered 3D printers, and soon enough I realized it could bring together both worlds: Engineering + Art

I've been 3D printing since 2014 (dark times for 3D printers back then), and designing articulated print-in-place models since 2019. I never expected it to become my full-time job, but here I am, discovering new possibilities and knowing awesome people inside this community every day.
